Does this sound familiar?

❌ You teach how you were taught … and deep down you know it needs to evolve.

❌ You feel out of your depth when your students talk about pain, soreness or injury.

❌ You want to teach smarter, not harder - but you’re unsure where to begin.

❌ You’ve seen the rise of ‘dance strength’ trends on Instagram and aren’t sure what’s actually safe or effective.

❌ You’r burning out trying to plan classes, choreograph, and manage multiple age groups without support or structure.

Here’s what you can expect in 12 weeks

✅ Greater confidence in your teaching approach

✅ Proven frameworks you can apply immediately in your classes

✅ A network of like-minded educators who support, not compete

✅ Recognition as a leader in dancer well-being and injury prevention

✅ More time to be creative - less time guessing or second-guessing

✅ Clear strategies to integrate athletic training into your classes

✅ Improved dance performances without risking dancer burnout or breakdown

✅ Pride in creating a safe space for dancers to thrive, not just perform

✅ Legacy-level impact your students will remember forever

I’m Nic - founder of Athletic Artist and creator of this accredited certification. My performing career took me around the world, working with Emmy-nominated choreographers, performing onboard world-leading cruise and in shows such as ‘SWING! The Broadway Musical’ … until a career-ending injury at 23 changed everything. I burnt out chasing ‘hard work’ and ignored the warning signs that cost me the stage. In my world, I lived by ‘the show must go on’ mantra a little too literally, not knowing it was costing me my career and passion.

Having retired from the stage, I found that my performance credits could only take me so far. I could teach choreography to dancing bodies, but I didn’t know how to teach the individuals who dance.

The certification was created to shape the next generation of dancers with holistic health at the heart of dance education. Dancers are more than just choreography in motion. They’re human beings, and how we teach them shapes how they dance, live and grow. I knew my skillset needed to expand. I qualified with an MSc in Dance Science and Education and became a UKSCA accredited Strength & Conditioning Trianer.

This certification was born from lived experience, years of academic study, and the desire to raise the standard of dance education.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Phase 1: Mindset & Movement Mastery

Phase 1 looks like:

🎯 Goal 1: Understand the anatomy and movement mechanics of the dancing body … not the anatomy you’re thinking of, you know that one that had no relevance to dance? This is DANCE-ANATOMY, where you truly learn the complexities of the dancing body for technique development and reduced injury risks.

🎯 Goal 2: Understand the influencing developmental factors of a dancer’s journey, like maturation and growth spurts, so you can keep your dancers strong and safe through their training.

🎯 Goal 3: Understand the bio-psycho-social dancer’s world so you can guide, empower and encourage your dancers to achieve new heights.

You’ll also get access to:

Dance Education Toolkit – A collection of resources you can use in your next dance class, like injury reg flags and burnout red flags.

Phase 2: Athletic Training for Dancers

Phase 2 looks like:

🎯 Goal 1: You’ll be invited to our in-person training day (date TBC), where you’ll learn our Athletic Artist Method and how to integrate it into your dance classes.

🎯 Goal 2: Integrate athletic training to your dance technique classes to take your dancers to new heights (quite literally!).

🎯 Goal 3: Less time planning classes and more time being creative.

You’ll also get access to:

Strength Training Toolkit – Plug’n’play athletic training sessions that you can implement into your dance classes, specific to dance skills and technique.

Phase 3: Leave a Legacy

Phase 3 looks like:

🎯 Goal 1: Learn how to speak your dancers language.

🎯 Goal 2: Integrate feedback mechanisms that land with your dancers.

🎯 Goal 3: Connect and communicate better than ever before with your dancers.

You’ll also get access to:

Our Legacy Builder – Your key to creating your own teaching ethos and leaving a legacy for the next generation of dancers, leading with holistic health.

PLUS:

  • Study online, on your own schedule (4-6 hrs p/w)

  • Two in-person immersion days (week 6 & week 12)

  • Weekly Q&A calls + tutor & peer support

TRANSFERABILITY

This course is not style-specific or syllabus-specific. You can blend the tools, resources and knowledge into your own teaching, while also collaborating with our other members.

You’re an expert at teaching choreography and leaving an audience entertained. But you’re teaching individuals who dance, not just dancing bodies - that requires mastering the art of teaching, not just the art of dance.

Who is it for?

You’re perfect for this if:

✅ You’re a dance educator with performance credits who teaches the art of dance, but hasn’t been taught the art of teaching … you’re teaching how you were taught

✅ You want proven strategies that complement dance technique to help your dancers accelerate safely and confidently

✅ You’re committed to educating individuals who dance, not just teach choreography to dancing bodies

✅ You want to be an industry leader by being one of the first dance educators to become a Certified Injury Prevention & Well-being educator

This isn’t for you if:

🚫 You don’t want to be an industry leader, you just want to copy the ‘norm’ (some ‘norms’ which can be damanging to our dancers)

🚫 You only see yourself as a dance teacher, not an influencing leader in your dancers life

🚫 You had to struggle for your success so think your students have to struggle to theirs
